We are thrilled to announce that The Legacy School has been officially renamed The Three Sisters Centre, a change made possible through the remarkable generosity of the Three Sisters Charitable Foundation.
This meaningful gift, led by Jim and Becky Reid — with Jim serving as Board Chair of our Foundation and together as the leaders of the Three Sisters Charitable Foundation — reflects a deep commitment to supporting the children and families we serve. The new name is not only a tribute to the Foundation’s incredible impact, but also a symbol of the bright future we are building together.
The Three Sisters Charitable Foundation has been an extraordinary partner in our mission, and this renaming celebrates their ongoing dedication to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.
We are so grateful to Jim and Becky Reid and the Three Sisters Charitable Foundation for their unwavering support and vision. Thanks to their generosity, The Three Sisters Centre will continue to be a place of learning, growth, and community for years to come.
Construction Update
Because of the incredible support of our community, we are thrilled to celebrate another exciting milestone in the journey toward The Three Sisters Centre.
Construction of the building is now 60% complete.
What began as a bold vision is rapidly becoming a reality in Bearspaw. Every day brings us one step closer to opening the doors to a purpose-built school that will transform the lives of students with disabilities and their families for generations to come.
Today, the structure is taking shape, with classrooms, therapy spaces and gathering places becoming a reality. Behind every wall raised and every milestone reached is a community of individuals, families, organizations and partners who believed in this vision and helped bring it to life.
While construction continues to make incredible progress, our work is not yet finished. Together, we are creating more than a building—we are creating a place where students will learn, grow, build confidence and discover what’s possible in an environment designed specifically to meet their unique needs.
The Three Sisters Centre stands as a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported this journey and look forward to welcoming our community through the doors when The Three Sisters Centre opens.
For years families have been asking for more – they aren’t ready to give up their children to the larger world when the end of grade 6 comes. We listened and started planning. Our Three Sisters Centre will accommodate approximately 225 – 250 students including an expansion to junior and senior high school ensuring that we are able to continue delivering our programs for the next generation.
Renfrew’s highly skilled teams have the expertise to provide exceptional programs for our most vulnerable youth. Renfrew wants to inspire tomorrow’s youth with disabilities.
